DESCRIPTION
Rancho Cielo Youth Campus empowers youth through education, mentorship, and community engagement. We believe in fostering a supportive environment where young people can develop their skills, confidence, and leadership abilities.
The Student Supervisor will be vital in monitoring and guiding a diverse group of students on our campus. This position involves overseeing daily activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment, and helping students achieve their personal and academic goals. The Student Supervisor will also collaborate with staff to develop programs that promote positive youth development.
EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt, Part-Time
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Supervised by the Senior Director of College, Career & Career Technical Education.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES - Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supervise and engage with students during school hours, after-school programs, workshops, and recreational activities.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students, helping them navigate personal and academic challenges.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment by enforcing campus rules and policies.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to plan events and activities that meet the needs and interests of students.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of student participation and incidents if necessary.
- Assist with setting up the student lounge with snacks and drinks when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with youth in educational, recreational, or mentoring settings.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all students.
- Knowledge of youth development principles and best practices is a plus.
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with all students.
- Successfully pass a criminal background check.
Knowledge of:
- CPR/First Aid certification desirable
