Description: A substitute teacher is responsible for providing instruction, promoting student progress and managing the classroom environment in the absence of the full time classroom teacher.

- Actively and collaboratively participate as a member of the school faculty when present
- Keep phone and email communications responsive
- Perform all other duties as assigned

Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to comply with both written and oral instructions
- Proficiency in maintaining efficient classroom management skills
- Self-motivated
- Obtain certificate of negative result for TB screening prior to hire
- Cleared live scan background check
Areas of Expected Proficiencies:
- Maintain classroom control that fosters a safe, positive environment for all students and staff in accordance with school, state and all applicable laws and regulations
- Implement existing lesson plans provided, if provided; Collaborate with principal and grade level teachers to determine lesson plan, if not available
- Demonstrate professional practices in teaching in alignment with Rancho guidelines and policies
