What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender/Bev Cart position at Rancho Del Sol Golf Club?
Position Summary: The Bartender is responsible for ensuring the comfort and needs of guest are met through answering questions, taking orders, serving beverages and food ensuring an atmosphere of total hospitality, cleanliness, and professionalism.
Essential Duties:
- Serve prepared food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages on time and in a professional manner to guest for all guest.
- Assist with food prep when needed to serve to guest
- Maintain the beverage cart and serve guest drinks when needed
- Ensure safe food handling performance at all times
- Respond to all guest request for beverages, appetizers, and other needs
- Greet guest as they enter the facility and help them find answers to any questions asked
- Communicate with supervisor as well as other servers
- Direct guest to necessary services and features of the location
- Assist in the clean up of the facility assuring it meets company cleanliness standards
- Communicate to supervisor if any guest are acting disruptive or extremely intoxicated
- Assist with inventory, food/beverage storage, and other closeout task
- Professionally and accurate process all electronic and cash transactions
- Maintain a good rapport with all staff.
- Establish a good relationship with event host, meeting and greeting vendors and organizers at event.
- Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays as required.
- Professional appearance maintained by self and all private event personnel.
- Perform any other duties that are necessary for a successful operation.
- Outgoing, personable, friendly, with the ability to speak in front of clients and guests with clarity and confidence.
- Adhere to all safety and quality regulations
- If any person(s) is to fall or injure themselves onsite, ensure all needed documentation is processed and kept for records.
Qualification Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent, related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· One year experience as a bartender, or equivalent position, within fine dining or upscale private dining establishment is preferred.
· Minimum 18 years of age
· Ability to work quickly and as a team in a fast paced environment
· Reliable transportation required
· Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills, detail management and multi-tasking skills
· Knowledge of golf operations, food and beverage operation, the game of golf. Rules of golf and golf etiquette. Knowledgeable in all aspects of Event Planning and execution.
· Food handles card required at hire
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is required to use hands to handle, or feels objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this include close vision, distance visions, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Environment:
Indoor and outdoor working environment. This individual may be exposed to the following on a daily basis: Inclement weather, potentially dangerous pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers; misdirected golf balls; sharp and rapid equipment movements, moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Injury may occur as a result of exposure to the above if safety procedures are not properly.

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
