Summary:
Under the general direction of the Clinic Director, the Physical Therapist evaluates therapy needs. Develops and implements Physical Therapy programs for assigned patients. Participates in related clinical activities. Perform initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations according to APTA standards of practice as well as state standards. Develop Plan of Treatment for each patient based on initial and ongoing evaluations including short- and long-term goals, collaboration demands of other staff members, and required patient and caregiver involvement.

Rancho Physical Therapy services include all of the traditional orthopedic, sports, and industrial outpatient therapies, as well as specialized programs to address the needs of the community. Rancho Physical Therapy places a strong emphasis on home exercise programs and patient education for better long-term results. All therapies provided are coordinated with the physician, patient work place and insurance representative to maximize treatment outcomes.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement physical therapy programs that focus on rehabilitation
- Work directly with patients to achieve maximum physical recovery
- Evaluate effects of therapy treatment and communicate patients' progress
- Record and document patient care services
- Collaborate with other team personnel to achieve well-rounded care
- Assist other facility staff members as needed to provide care and create a clean, orderly and effective environment for rehabilitation and physical therapy.
- Previous experience in physical therapy, rehabilitation, or other related field
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Graduate of a school of Physical Therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association, or a foreign-trained equivalent.
- Licensed by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance or accepted for licensure within six months from date of employment.
