At Rancho Seco Care Center, we are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. As a key member of our close-knit team, you will play a vital role in addressing patient needs and collaborating with our Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). Our full-time, part-time, or PRN position offers flexibility and a range of benefits.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. As a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direction of the Occupational Therapist to develop and implement treatment plans. Your responsibilities will include:
- Treating patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and adhering to facility documentation guidelines
- Recording treatments given and progress notes in medical records
- Participating in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences
- Communicating with supervisors and other healthcare professionals regarding patient progress, problems, and plans
- Participating in training programs for other staff members
In this role, you will also be responsible for recording treatment charges according to facility policies and procedures, instructing patients' families or nursing staff on maintenance programs, and demonstrating a strong desire to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
As a successful candidate, you will possess strong writing skills for documenting care provided, exhibit knowledge and understanding of therapy practice, and understand the unpredictable nature and needs of the therapy function in a busy rehab department.
