What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Transportation Driver position at Rancho Seco Care Center?
The transport Driver is someone who is accustomed to planning their route in advance to make efficient use of their time as well as fuel and wear on the facility van. We are looking for someone who likes to also be involved in other aspects of the facility such as Central Supply, Maintenance and other operational departments when no transports are scheduled. Located in Galt, Rancho Seco is a 99 bed skilled nursing facility offering rehabilitation and healthcare services.
Responsibilities include:
Operating the facility’s transport bus in a safe manner; ensuring the bus is clean with a full tank of gas each day. Alerting the facility administrator when the vehicle needs to be serviced, inspected and registration renewed.
Coordinating with Nursing residents’ appointments for the next day to ensure residents are ready for their pick up time as well as to ensure the schedule and routes are confirmed eliminating conflicts to avoid missed appointments.
Greeting the resident at their nursing unit, assisting them on/off the bus and into/out of physicians’ offices, etc.
Being friendly and professional at all times; interacts well with residents, care providers and co-workers. Understands they represent Rancho Seco Care and always demonstrates integrity and a positive outlook.
Working some holidays, weekend days and additional hours based on the facility’s needs.
