Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California, is a licensed 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission. It is Southwest Riverside County's only designated Trauma Center and a county-designated Paramedic Base Station. The hospital performs more than 4,000 surgeries a year, and has an average of 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month. The hospital features a Bariatric Weight-Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region’s only Total Joint Center.

 

Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California, is a 120 bed acute-care hospital with the region's only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board certified Rady Children’s emergency medicine physicians. Rancho Springs Hospital also provides the area's only OB/Emergency Department program, which gives expectant mothers 24/7 on-site access to OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs Hospital is the largest in the region and features spacious family-friendly private suites. Rancho's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children’s.

 

The Manager is responsible for the daily operational activities of the Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology (IR), Endoscopy, and Special Procedures. 

  • Operational responsibilitites include: facilitating a smooth workflow and effective communication processes among caregivers, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating all aspects of care/services delivered; insuring quality programs, patient safety and a level of customer service that strives to exceed internal and external customer expectations; developing strong relationships with primary customers and ensures the delivery of timely and efficient services; effectively assists the cardiologist, surgeons, and interventional radiologists in all appropriate non-invasive/invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures in Cath Lab, IR, and Specials areas. 
  • Organizes, directs and supervises the operational functioning of Cath Lab, IR, and Special Procedures (i.e., personnel management, financial planning, and administrative functions performed in conjunction with the department Director). Controls expenditures by analyzing costs, obtaining competitive bids and investigating less expensive alternatives.
  • Pioneers new programs or protocols to enrich and advance knowledge exchange within the Cath Lab. Evaluates and sets staff goals for education that enhance the personal, patient, and organizational needs.
  • Acts as patient educator prior to catherization to explain procedure and answer questions; explains steps during the actual procedure. Provides additional instruction on examination procedures, evaluation of results, equipment maintenance and calibration, as well as anatomy and physiology pertaining to exams and principles utilized by equipment.  Acts as an educational resource and is available for consultation to medical, nursing and administrative staff.
  • Functions in a role as a preceptor or resource person to other staff in providing quality patient care.  Demonstrates a superior proficiency in all required areas within Cardiology with a corresponding level of proficiency in the use of the technology/equipment involved to perform these studies.

Qualifications

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare administration, or related field required.

Master’s degree in related field, preferred.

 

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

American Heart Association Recognized BLS

Registered Nurse with current California RN license, or California LVN license

Current BLS certification.

Current ACLS certification.
