SUMMARY
The Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness of tennis complex and exterior including patios, entrance areas, stairwells, walkways, tennis courts & pro-shop. Other responsibilities include deep cleaning, handling guest’s requests, stocking and removing soiled towels, pressure washing courts and walkways, and performing special projects. Attendant contributes to the resort commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork.
Attendant is also responsible for assisting members and guests with checking in to their Tennis or Pickleball reservations. Walking them to their courts, assisting with any amenities they might require like towels, water, and tennis balls. Responsible for checking the reservation and lesson list from the Pro shop and confirming that the right participants are in the right locations. Responsible for ensuring that the guest pass system is enforced and correctly accounted for.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Responds promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
2. Checks and cleans pathways/stairwells removing paper, insects, debris, cigarette butts, room service items, etc.
3. Check all wall sconces for burnt out light bulbs and reports as needed.
4. Sweep and damp mop floors.
5. Clean signs and exterior lighting.
6. Checks and cleans public restrooms at Palm and Sycamore courts.
7. Prepare courts based on RV standards and checks periodically throughout shift.
8. Pick up and review work assignments from Tennis department.
9. Pick up dirty glasses and wash them according to RV standards.
10. Complete all general cleaning assignments and any projects assigned by Supervisors.
11. Pick up all garbage and dirty towels around courts.
12. Check all public areas periodically.
13. Dust, polish and remove marks from walls and furnishings.
14. Clean mirrors, windows, high and low dusting.
15. Clean interior of Pro-shop, dust and sweep.
16. Wash tennis courts on a rotating schedule.
17. Maintain water and coffee stations.
18. Follow all OSHA and MSDS rules and regulations.
19. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
20. Follow all resort policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
21. Develop and maintain positive working relationship with others.
22. Support team to reach common goals.
23. Ensure adherence to quality, expectations, and standards.
24. Actively participates in safety programs and abides by all injury reporting and safety behavior.
25. Participates in and supports hotel’s efforts towards community service, sustainability, and environmental initiatives.
26. Performs other duties as directed, developed, or assigned.
27. Obtain the reservations and lessons list from Pro shop, then walk the courts to verify that reservations are all in the right location.
28. Assist with enforcement of the members guest pass policy by checking to see how many guests they bring to their court reservations and then relaying this information in a timely manner to the Tennis manager if it doesn’t match the disclosed count.
29. check ball recycling bins are being used properly and replace when full.
30. Assist the members and guests with any on court water, racquet, or towel requests.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
1. Prior housekeeping experience required.
2. Must have schedule flexibility AM/PM, weekends, and holidays.
3. Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position.
4. Ability to communicate in English with vendors, guests, and staff to their understanding.
5. Must be able to multitask gracefully.
Desirable
1. Prior 5 diamond resort experience.
2. Dynamic and personable
3. Floor care experience
4. Some tennis playing experience.
SKILLS
Required
1. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.
2. Ability to focus attention to details.
3. Ability to maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
4. Ability to ensure security of guest room access and hotel property.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
1. Infrequent local travel may be required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing. Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to inspecting property.
2. Constant need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, turning, finger dexterity.
3. Frequent need to stand and move about for long periods of time.
4. Ability to lift, pull and push 40 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
5. Ability to stand for long periods of time and move moderate distances.
6. Vision requirements: constant need to view small print. Frequent need to see small details and things clearly beyond arms reach.
7. Hearing requirements: constant need to speak on telephone and or two-way radio, respond to general public and converse with staff. Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment.
