Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Passionate about wine and customer service.
- Knowledge of wine, the wine industry, wine production, Amador County, and the surrounding Sierra Foothills AVA preferred.
- At least 1-year experience in the wine industry, sales, restaurant, or customer service industry.
- Dynamic communication skills & positive attitude.
- Must have a clean professional appearance
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and workflow.
- Computer literacy.
- Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and basic math.
- This position must work weekends, events, and some evenings.
- Clean driving record.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promptly greets all visitors to the winery and pours wines for tasting.
- Describes wines, winemaking techniques, and winery history of Rancho Victoria Vineyard; answers customers questions about wines.
- Provides general tourist information to customers.
- Operates POS, handles credit card sales, and wine club releases.
- Follows company schedule for special promotions and sales and release of wines.
- Monitors merchandise displays and overall appearance and cleanliness Tasting Room and surrounding property, including stocking of wine and retail items as needed.
- Performs Daily inventory counts for wine and merchandise.
- Capable of Opening and Closing duties related to the winery and tasting room.
- May represent winery at outside functions as needed.
- Assists other departments and employees as needed.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
- Stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Perform some repetitive motion activities.
- Lift up to 45 lbs.
