What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator 2 position at Rand Precision Machining?
JBK Manufacturing is looking to recruit Machine Operators in Dayton, OH.
Responsible for setup and operating CNC or manual machines (see below), ensuring that quality plans are followed, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed, ensuring that established production rates are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement as well as standard work procedures.
- Follow the quality control plans.
- Operate CNC or Manual machines in manufacturing environment.
- Sets up and operates tools according to work instructions and engineering/quality control plans.
- Studies blueprints, work orders and other specifications to ensure the proper setup sequence is followed.
- Selects, places, and secures tools as well verify and maintain all job standards.
- Places and secures workpieces in proper machine table, holding device, or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches.
- Prepares fixtures and feeding devices, starts machine and engages feed.
- Observes and operates each machine to achieve quality performance.
- Checks and sets measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers are in proper working order in order to run the job.
- Complete all required paperwork such as tool sheets, inspection sheets, work instructions and engineering drawings.
- Achieve established production rates.
- Keep area neat and clean.
- All other duties assigned.
The Position with Rand Precision Machining includes the following:
