Team Lead – Forklift Certified Order Pickers
POSITION SUMMARY
Support the Forklift Certified Order Picker department and leadership team in maintaining production workflow to achieve our daily goals with a focus on safety, procedures, productivity, attitude, and attendance. Additionally, utilize an Order Picker forklift to assist the team with the daily workload.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor workflow, production, quality, and safety standards.
- Prioritize assignments within the department to ensure work is completed timely.
- Bring associate issues to the attention of the department supervisor/manager or Human Resources.
- Train associates on processes, policies, and procedures.
- Fill in as needed on the production floor or in a supervisory capacity.
- Additional duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
Relevant Work Experience
- At least three years of distribution/warehouse experience.
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Office skills including basic knowledge of Outlook.
- Some warehouse system and/or RF gun knowledge strongly preferred.
- Good safety and quality record.
- Demonstrated proficiency driving an Order Picker forklift and Sit-Down forklift.
- Ability to earn a forklift certification and the capability to perform classroom and driving forklift training may be required.
Other Qualifications
- Ability to communicate clearly in English in person, in writing and on the phone. Bi-lingual a plus.
- Self-motivator.
- Demonstrate an ability to calmly handle busy production demands and respectfully interact with co-workers to accomplish tasks and goals.
- Physically may be required to perform warehouse functions when needed (lifting up to 50 pounds, but 25 pounds regularly).
