Randal Retail Group is a 40-year-old manufacturing company in Batavia, IL. We specialize in the production of store fixtures and custom cabinets for nationwide retailers and restaurants. We urgently need a competent CNC Operator who seeks an excellent opportunity to establish a long-lasting career.
A CNC Operator will use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform many functions. Your job is important since some materials are challenging to shape or handle manually with conventional equipment. You must be able to work with great concentration and precision while being responsible and complying with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are essential.
We provide on-the-job training. Bring your willingness to learn and improve your skills. Being a team player is essential since all tasks require close collaboration with co-workers. Your goal will be to ensure that production procedures run smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.
4-day work week, Monday to Thursday!
As our 2nd shift CNC Machine Operator, your hours will be Monday – Thursday from 2:30 pm to 1 am
Training for this position will be during 1st shift hours; Monday – Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to understand work orders, shop drawings, schedules, machining parameters, and use of measuring and gauging equipment
- Set up the router by installing and adjusting appropriate tools and holders based on the job requirements
- Loads and unloads material on the machine; safely operates a forklift
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces
- Maintain specifications by observing and measuring critical dimensions; adjust and reprogram controls as needed; replace worn tools; adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes
- Advises management of tooling requirements – both replacements required and special tooling for upcoming projects.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; and troubleshooting malfunctions
- Assists other production areas/employees when needed and if feasible based on current projects in the router area.
- Maintain the shop cleanly and safely
- Keep management apprised of any issues or concerns that would interfere with their ability to perform their job to the best of their ability
