Randall Construction
is currently seeking a top-tier Low Voltage Electrical / Alarm Installer to work on projects across Central Florida from our headquarters in Apopka, FL. We are excited about this important role and are determined to consider the best and brightest candidates who meet our requirements.

Position Summary

At Randall, the Low Voltage Electrical / Alarm Installer will play a vital role in the Fire Services division by installing and troubleshooting electronic security, fire alarm, access control, and intercom systems in existing commercial and governmental buildings and new construction. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various skilled trades during the installation process.


Essential Functions
  • Installing low voltage systems in a new construction and existing commercial environments
  • Read and understand floorplans and installation drawings
  • Skilled at bending and installing conduit piping
  • Pulling cables and wires from source to termination points
  • Ability to work at heights (scissor, boom lifts and ladders)
  • Terminating and installing (trimming) security, alarm and access devices
  • Testing /troubleshooting system issues
  • Responsible for maintaining company vehicle and inventory
  • Perform Service work when required

Desired Qualification Requirements


  • High School diploma required / Tech school certifications preferred.

  • 2-5 years of experience as a low voltage electrical installer.

  • Communication skills (can speak to clients and coworkers in a professional manner).

  • English language ability required / bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.

  • Time conscious (can be on time and efficient).

  • Demonstrate dependability, flexibility, and teamwork.

  • Ability to pass drug screen and background check.

  • Insurable driving record/history.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety procedures.

  • Ability to work well with others.


Physical Requirements


This is primarily a Shop or Field Jobsite job. You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job, be able to respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, and properly wear personal protective gear.
