What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Principal position at Randall High School?
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Principal/Mid-Management certifcation, or currently working toward a Principal/Mid-Managemen Certifcate
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience; Administrative experience preferred
- Strong background or previous experience in curriculum and instruction preferred
- T-TESS certifed, or ability to earn T-TESS certification
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty and staff
- Ability to provide instructional leadership and supervision of campus personnel
- Ability to prioritize demanding tasks in order to complete
- Ability to provide coverage of extra-curricular events throughout the school year and possibly into the summer
- Strong Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills required
- Ability to be a team player on the administrative staff
Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision of curriculum, instruction and assessments for Randall High School
- Collaborate with and supervise campus PLC leaders and PLC's
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, staff, campus administrators, and district administrators
- Collaboratively create, implement and monitor an effective Campus Needs Assessment and Campus Improvement Plan for high academic achievement for all students
- Assist in planning and delivery of professional development
- Monitor multiple forms of student data to inform instructional and intervention decisions, and contribute to maximizing student achievement.
- Collaboratively build the master schedule and maintenance of course offerings
- Provide feedback and supervision of faculty through formal and informal observations
- Provide collaboration and supervision of state assessments
- Supervision of students throughout the school day, including before and after school supervision
- Provide coverage of extra-curricular activities throughout the school year and possibly into the summer. Some travel will be required.
- Other duties as assigned
