Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented light gauge (0.005"-0.050") Slitter Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operation of a light gauge slitter, ensuring precision and quality throughout the process. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery, quality inspection, and the ability to read measurment devices. The Slitter Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining production efficiency and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Operate slitting machines to cut materials according to specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Read and interpret work orders to determine customer specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and maintain safety standards.
- Utilize tools such as calipers and micrometers for precise measurements during the cutting process.
- Document production data and report any discrepancies or defects in materials.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Slitter Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Physical ability to lift materials as needed and stand for extended periods.
