WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU :
We are growing and are looking for an individual who has the ability to continually adjust to change, drive to make a difference, and desire to improve.
The Memory Care Coordinator must plan, organize, develop, and execute all Life Enrichment functions of the Memory Care neighborhood in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Executive Director and Director of Health and Wellness to ensure the highest degree of quality care for our residents.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS :
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Possess a College Degree with course-work in dementia care, plus one (1) year experience working with persons with dementia
At least two (2) years of management experience with persons with dementia.
- Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, etc.
- Must be able to provide critical thinking skills to address clinical issues.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :
- Two (2) years of experience in home care, assisted living, or Long term care facility in programming Memory Care Life Enrichment programs.
- Experience as a caregiver of an individual with a memory related disease.
- A thorough knowledge of Alzheimer's and other memory related diseases.
- Experience with positive management techniques for addressing challenging behaviors related to dementia.
- CPR and First Aid
- Any required training by the residence, including Federal and state laws pertaining to assisted living.
- Certified Dementia Practitioner Certification
