What are the responsibilities and job description for the Librarian I - Children's Librarian position at Randolph County Government?
Librarian I - Children's Librarian at Asheboro Public Library. The Children's Room is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic children's librarian who enjoys working with children of all ages with an emphasis on programming for ages 0-6 and school-aged children. Librarian I programming includes Storytime for ages 0-6 and occasional STEAM programs. The ideal candidate has experience working with children and has an understanding of ECCR-based best practices and Supercharged Storytime's. The Librarian I position will engage with the community through outreach, occasionally in collaboration with the Mobile Library Team.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and some experience working as a librarian or experience working in a field related to the specialized nature of the position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Comments:
This is a Full-Time position with benefits. Schedule: 40 hours/week, some night and Saturday work required. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
