What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDI & Coding Supervisor position at Randolph Hospital?
Responsible for successfully managing the overall organizational and administrative functions and operation of Coding and Clinical Documentation improvement.
College degree preferred. Clinical experience with reviewing medical chart documentation with knowledge of physician’s orders, treatment, and clinical criteria to support a patient’s final diagnosis. Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, modifiers, NCD’s etc to accurately code outpatient and inpatient charts. At least 3 years of previous clinical experience working as a CDI Specialist and previous experience working as a coder of various medical modalities. Experience working with CDI and Coding software systems. License(s): Preferable a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), and Clinical Documentation Improvement Professional (CDIP.) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Motivated, self-directed, and organized. Capable of gathering data for CDI and Coding and making reasonable and sound decisions. Must be professional and positive during all interactions with employees as well as others at all staff levels throughout the organization. Well-developed written and verbal skills clinical criteria of diagnosis. Ability to work remotely, as needed. Preferred ability to work in a Microsoft office environment. Analytical skills with ability to work on excel spreadsheets.
