What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Access Supervisor position at Randolph Hospital?
Directs and supervises Patient Registration in the MRI, ED, Outpatient, and Pre Service to include performance evaluations, orientation and training. Works closely with the Director and Patient Access Coordinator to ensure staff are motivated and supported. Reviews volumes and works with Director to set daily and monthly goals. Troubleshoots and resolves issues as they arise. Monitors productivity, quality, and current processes to ensure high quality customer service. Conducts audits and prepares reports on accounts. Responsible for verifying accurate patient collections. Works to promote a harmonious work environment in each area as well as strengthen relationships between Patient Access and other departments. Ensures compliance with EMTALA and Joint Commission requirements. Collaboratively interacts with provider offices, nursing and ancillary departments to maintain open communication. Follows up on patient complaints and provides feedback as needed to provide patient satisfaction.
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or job experience will be considered. Prior supervisory/management experience required. Extensive experience in all office functions required.
Computer knowledge on hospital network systems required, preferably Meditech modules, and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
