Greengate School at Randolph serves students in grades 1-6 using an Orton-Gillingham approach to provide a specialized program of instruction that meets individual learning needs, while also offering students with dyslexia a full complement of co-curricular and extra-curricular school experiences. Greengate, one of 18 schools in the nation accredited by the Orton-Gillingham Academy and the only such school in Alabama, has educated children with dyslexia and related language-learning differences since 2002.
Randolph School is seeking a Clinical Supervisor within the Greengate Division. The primary responsibilities include assisting the OGA Fellow with the supervision and support of dyslexia specialists and working with the Greengate Division head in the planning and execution of the daily operations of the tutorial program.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Regularly meet with Dyslexia Specialists as a group and individually to provide updates, training, and support for their work with students in line with Fellow recommendations and OGA standards
- Strategize and plan with Dyslexia Specialists working with complex students
- Conduct observations with feedback as requested by the Fellow
- Assist with the onboarding of new Dyslexia Specialists
- Create Assessment Profiles for Dyslexia Specialists to assist in differentiation
- Administer entrance and exit testing of students
- Conduct tutorial sessions as needed
- Create and update templates and forms
- Assist with student/tutorial assignments
- Review the quarterly Tutorial Progress Reports
- Facilitate communication between Dyslexia Specialists, parents, and students and attend conferences by request
- Serve on the Greengate Admission Committee and Transition Committee
- Meet regularly with Greengate administration team
- Participate in Dyslexia Simulation presentations
- Maintain spreadsheet for tutorial substitute pay
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Eligible for Clinical Supervisor Status from the Orton Gillingham Academy
- Extensive experience working with dyslexic students
- Student-centered, collaborative, has growth mindset
