Otherwise, the position is a part-time, stipend position. Prior head coaching experience in an independent school setting is beneficial, but not required. PURPOSE: The successful candidate for each position will be a coach that is willing to love, serve and develop our scholar-athletes while demonstrating strong character, professionalism, relational skills and be a positive role model appropriately utilizing the platform of their sport.
QUALIFICATIONS that are preferred include, but are not limited to the following:

- Has extensive knowledge and successful experience coaching at the varsity level
- Takes the initiative and possesses the energy needed to lead and grow an athletic program in a K-12 independent school environment
- Has prepared scholar-athletes to advance to the next level as an athlete and well-rounded young adult
ACCOUNTABILITY: Reports to the Athletic Director and Associate Athletic Director; works with Director of Strength and Conditioning
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent the school in a manner that exhibits and promotes Randolph’s mission
- Comply with the rules and regulations of AHSAA
- Timely and consistent communication of scheduling logistics throughout the school year and enforcement of all team and school policies relating to all activities according to the Student-Athlete/Coaches Handbooks
- Develop a comprehensive program that includes being the head coach of the varsity team as well as having major input into the structure, hiring and overall development of the Junior Varsity, Middle School and the RAP (K-6th grade Randolph Athletic Program) programs in applicable sports
- Plan, organize and implement the teaching of fundamentals, strategies, rules, and proper conditioning including the off-season and coordination of youth programs in applicable sports
- Provide an atmosphere conducive to good sportsmanship; compile and maintain accurate performance statistics and records; utilize school leadership curriculum.
- Work well with other sports and school programming to allow for students to pursue appropriately balanced multi-sport/activity opportunities
- Ensure that adequate supervision is provided for all students involved in the program; provide for safety by inspecting facilities/equipment and being aware of environmental conditions
- Issue, collect, inventory, store equipment and uniforms consistent with department guidelines in a timely manner
- Develop positive, productive relationships with the entire Randolph community
- Develop and maintain a budget for the program
- Facilitate coaches, team & parent meetings
- Work with our full-time Director of Strength and Conditioning to ensure safety and focus on injury prevention, stability, mobility and flexibility
HOURS/COMPENSATION: Will devote the needed hours during the school year as well as the summer with workouts in applicable programs. Compensation to be commensurate with experience, qualifications and within the parameters of the school budget.
