Randolph Technical Career Center offers twelve full-day technical education programs, each of which offers college credits or industry certifications to students as part of their high school education. RTCC is a full day Career and Technical Center where students gain technical skills, professional skills and academic skills on our campus.
RTCC is seeking a special educator to serve as our Student Services Coordinator with the primary responsibilities of the position to include:
Providing direct services to students
Supervision of paraprofessionals providing direct services to students
Regular communication with parents/guardians and partner school team
Collaboration and consultation with all program and academic instructors
Serve as the coordinator and point of contact to Case Managers for students with IEP, EST and 504 plans
This position requires the following skill set:
Technology proficiency (especially knowledge of the Google Apps and remote learning environments)
Strong academic proficiency in both math and language arts
Organization and documentation skills
Good communication and collaboration skills with both colleagues and students
Ability to make work relevant for students, connecting learning assignments to their program or areas of interest while building academic skills through direct service
Obtaining Licensure as a Career & Technical Education Special Needs Coordinator with the Vermont Agency of Education, if not already licensed, will be part of the first year of employment.
