Join our clients team as an entry level Business Intelligence Architect and play a crucial role in supporting the evaluation, modeling, and visualization of data to aid in critical decision-making. This position focuses on creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and analytics in an enterprise environment. You will collaborate with team members and stakeholders to streamline reporting and analytic processes, ensuring data supports business functions and decisions. The role involves using business intelligence tools, such as Power BI and Tableau, as well as providing support for the Cognos enterprise reporting and analytics environment. You will also be responsible for ensuring data privacy and security while maintaining a high level of reporting accuracy. This is a contract Contract-to-permanent opportunity. Annual reviews for performance evaluation and merit-based compensation increases.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Visualization and Reporting: Evaluate business processes and identify opportunities to enhance decision-making by leveraging data visualization. Develop reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Cognos. Follow established frameworks, standards, and procedures to ensure the accuracy and consistency of reports.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with report authors to assist with data analysis, report design, and dashboard development. Provide support during the creation and maintenance of reporting solutions, ensuring that authorized data use is upheld. Participate in training sessions to enhance technical and data literacy across the team.
- System Maintenance and Infrastructure: Assist with the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of reporting tools and related infrastructure. Work with Database Administrators to ensure reports are aligned with the operational data store, ensuring that data structures are optimized to meet reporting needs. Monitor tools and infrastructure to ensure the availability and performance of reports and dashboards.
- Business Intelligence and Data Management: Contribute to the implementation of best practices for data management and business intelligence, ensuring streamlined information delivery. Help define and implement strategic, data-driven roadmaps that align with the organization's goals.
- Security and Compliance: Adhere to established security protocols for the protection of sensitive data. Actively participate in the identification and mitigation of security risks related to data and reporting.
- Change Management: Support departmental change management processes to ensure proper execution of change controls. Adhere to established guidelines for managing changes within the BI and reporting environments.
qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience working with business intelligence tools and data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, etc.).
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze and understand complex data structures and their relationship to functional business processes.
- Experience with creating reports and visualizations from large datasets, especially aggregating and validating data from multiple sources.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational database concepts (normal forms, relationship diagrams).
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts and findings clearly, both in writing and verbally.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of independent work while remaining a contributing team member.
skills: Technical Skills:
- Experience with business intelligence and data analytics tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos) is desirable but not mandatory. Familiarity with spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting is essential.
- Must have the ability to analyze data structures and generate reporting views based on real-world data.
- Candidates will be expected to demonstrate their analytical capabilities through hands-on tasks such as testing SQL skills and analyzing sample datasets.
