responsibilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of modeling strategies and concepts (dimensional, relational, unstructured).
- Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data models (3NF) in a relational database environment.
- Solid understanding of data lineage. Ability to break down and detail the flow of data from source to target and develop data flow diagrams.
qualifications:
- Experience with scripting languages for data manipulation, querying, and profiling on cloud and on-premise database technologies - PL/SQL, SQL, Unix shell scripting, Python, R.
- Working understanding of relevant database platforms (e.g., Oracle, Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server).
- Ability to effectively communicate complex data modeling concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
