Data Quality Assurance Analyst

job summary:

Our client is looking for a Data Quality Assurance Analyst for a 12 month onsite opportunity located in Phoenix, AZ.

location: Phoenix, Arizona

job type: Contract

salary: $40 - 47 per hour

work hours: 8am to 5pm

responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Work closely with the Business Analyst in gathering requirements to understand and identify business needs and the objectives related to the required data elements.

- Perform analysis on the data requirements and clarify any questions with business stakeholders to clarify the data requirements.

- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing.

- Validate reports to ensure data quality, data accuracy, and data consistency objectives are met.

- Create SQL scripts to build data sets based on the requirements to validate data against developed reports checking for discrepancies, data inconsistencies and counts.

- Identify and communicate any data related issues using established agency processes.

- Support business users during User Acceptance Testing; ability to answer or investigate any questions or issues raised.

- Design and maintain automated test scripts using Microsoft technologies.

qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

- 5 years of relevant QA Data Analyst/ETL testing/Data quality testing.

- Advanced level of SQL Server database query language (TSQL).

- Experience in Microsoft Test Manager (MTM) or Azure DevOps Test Plans

- Experience in Test automation practices and tools, such as Selenium, Ready API, and JMeter.

- Expertise in creating clear, concise test plans and test cases.

- Experience in the education industry is preferred.

- Experience working on an Agile/Scrum team preferred.
