responsibilities:

A leading global company is seeking a COBOL Developer to enhance and optimize a high-transaction legacy system that plays a critical role in international operations. This role involves analyzing, designing, coding, and supporting solutions that improve efficiency and performance.

As part of an Agile scrum team, the developer will work closely with product owners and end-users to understand business challenges and opportunities, ensuring that solutions align with operational needs.

qualifications:

• COBOL Programming Expertise - Strong experience in COBOL development, including coding, debugging, and optimizing high-transaction systems.
• Requirements Gathering & Systems Analysis - Ability to collect, analyze, and document business and technical requirements to support system enhancements.
• Systems Design & Development - Experience in designing, documenting, and developing applications, including data flows and system integrations.
• Database & Agile Methodology Experience - Proficiency with at least one database environment (IBM DB2, HP Image) and familiarity with SAFe/Agile development practices.
