We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Director to lead our IT department and ensure the seamless operation of critical systems and infrastructure. The IT Director will oversee the management of our ERP system, EDI team and systems, Azure Data Lake, databases, and IT budget, while driving innovation and aligning technology initiatives with business goals. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise, strong management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP): Oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of the company's ERP system to ensure operational efficiency and scalability. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement upgrades, enhancements, and integrations as needed. Our current ERP system is Infor M3 - Infor CloudSuite Distribution
- EDI Management: Lead the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) team and systems, ensuring reliable data exchange with partners, vendors, and customers. Monitor performance and resolve issues to maintain compliance and operational continuity. Our current EDI partner is SPS Commerce
- Azure Data Lake & Databases: Manage the Azure Data Lake environment and associated databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability. Oversee data architecture, backups, and disaster recovery processes. Experience with JSON is a must.
- IT Budget Oversight: Develop and manage the IT department's budget, including forecasting, cost analysis, and resource allocation. Ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
- Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and support career development.
- Strategic Planning: Partner with senior leadership to align IT strategies with organizational objectives. Identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements and lead their implementation.
- System Security & Compliance: Ensure all IT systems adhere to security best practices and regulatory requirements. Implement policies to safeguard data and mitigate risks.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers to support IT operations and projects.
- Project Management: Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 15 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven expertise in managing ERP systems (e.g., [specific system if applicable, like SAP, Oracle NetSuite, etc.]).
- Strong knowledge of EDI systems and processes.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake and database management (SQL and/or Oracle certification a plus). JSON experience is a must.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and optimize IT spending.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
