Job Details
- We are seeking a skilled Back-End Java Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust server-side applications using Java and PL/SQL.
- You will collaborate with front-end developers, database administrators, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable web solutions. While the primary focus is on back-end development, familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and React, along with experience in Oracle Database, will be essential to integrate and support full-stack workflows effectively.

responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain server-side logic using Java to support web applications.
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices for seamless integration with front-end systems.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate React-based user interfaces with back-end functionality.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
- Work with Oracle Database to design, query, and optimize relational databases (e.g., writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers).
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing systems to improve performance and reliability.
- Ensure security and data protection measures are implemented in all back-end processes.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and suggest improvements to existing systems.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6 years of experience in back-end development with Java and Oracle PL/SQL
- Understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of web servers (e.g., Apache, Tomcat) and deployment processes.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
- Knowledge of OpenText Web Experience Management and Portal v16.x
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills..
skills:
- Strong proficiency in Java (e.g., Spring Boot, Hibernate, or similar frameworks).
- Experience with Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL, schema design, and performance tuning).
- Basic knowledge of HTML and JavaScript for supporting front-end integration.
- Familiarity with React to collaborate effectively with front-end teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders
