responsibilities:

• Develop and Maintain Legacy Systems: Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications, focusing on COBOL and JCL for efficient system functionality.
• Troubleshoot Issues: Identify, analyze, and resolve issues within legacy mainframe systems, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
• Database Management: Perform DB2 database management tasks, including data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes, and query optimization.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with other developers, business analysts, and compliance teams to understand requirements and integrate system updates.
• Compliance and Regulatory Updates: Ensure all systems and applications comply with relevant regulatory standards and contribute to compliance-driven projects.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, reviewing code and offering technical advice on best practices.
• Documentation: Write and maintain technical documentation for legacy systems, updates, and changes made to ensure future clarity and compliance.

qualifications:

  • 10 years of hands-on experience in mainframe development, including extensive work with COBOL, JCL, SQL, and DB2.
