Our client is looking for a SQL DBA for a 6-12 month contract opportunity located in Sacramento, CA. This role has a high chance of extensions. This position will be on-site with telework offered 2 days a week.

responsibilities:
- Administer and manage SQL Server databases, ensuring high performance, availability, and security.
- Create SSRS reports in coordination with end user specifications
- Perform regular database backups, recovery, and performance tuning to optimize system functionality. - Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and provide support to business users.
- Experience with Database encryption including TDE and TLS
- Document and enforce database standards, procedures, and security policies.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement the best practices in database management and integration.
- Stay up to date with new database technologies and techniques, recommending and implementing improvements when appropriate.

Required Skills:
- Expert in SQL Server Database Administration (DBA), including performance tuning, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Advance experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and designing and developing reports
- Experience with Data Replication; design, configuration, implementation, and monitoring.
- Experience with SQL scripting and query optimization to support high-volume data operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues with minimal supervision. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with automation tools and database monitoring solutions.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices
