Schedule : CORE HOURS M-F 8AM-5PM (flexible on start / end times most likely will support project with hours 6 : 30am-3 : 30pm)
Position Summary :
We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in Fluid Power Control to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide technical oversight for new product development (NPD) and sustaining projects related to aircraft water and waste systems. You will leverage your extensive knowledge to assess engineering solutions, mentor junior engineers, and lead cross-functional teams to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Resolve design conflicts and coordinate complex requirements to ensure project completion.
- Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and mentor engineers and technicians to achieve project goals.
- Coordinate with various operational and engineering units to ensure all necessary resources are utilized effectively.
- Define project objectives and contribute to comprehensive design development.
- Review and approve designs and technical documentation throughout all project phases.
- Maintain accurate design data and generate compliance documentation, including reports and design reviews.
- Stay updated on industry innovations by participating in professional organizations.
- Conduct Non Advocate Reviews (NAR) for all programs to ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Provide technical training and guidance to engineering teams.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders in technical discussions and conflict resolution.
- Undertake additional related duties as required.
