job summary:
Our client near Utica, NY is looking to add a Drafter on a 6-12 month contract assignment! We are looking for individuals who have experience with AutoCAD and Solidworks with the ability to read and modify blueprints. You will be working closely with other engineers to organize and repair drawings. We need someone who can work well with other team members and troubleshoot non-conformance issues when they arise. A technical degree along with 2 years of relevant experience will be what we are looking for in terms of qualifications. responsibilities:
- Create and update drawings in SolidWorks or AutoCAD based on Engineer instructions.
- Organize and manage computer files for drawings and other engineering documents.
- Maintain the Engineering library, including catalogs, brochures, and other reference materials.
- Handle the printing and filing of drawings.
- Track requisitions, purchase orders, and ensure timely follow-up and expediting of materials and equipment ordered by engineers.
- Maintain records of capital expenditures.
