Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist
*No C2C/No Sponsorship at any point*
Location: Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote in New York City, NY
Duration: 12 month contract with potential to convert to permanent
Pay: $40-46/hr
Hours: Regular business hours Monday through Friday
Responsibilities: The Desktop Support Engineer will provide support for AWS Workspaces infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure smooth system performance for end-users. Key tasks include managing AWS Workspaces deployments, administering Active Directory, troubleshooting Windows and Linux/Ubuntu OS, and collaborating with teams to improve processes. You’ll also create and maintain user documentation and training materials, handle support requests, and ensure timely issue resolution.
Must Have Skills:
- Strong experience with Windows desktop support; Linux is a huge plus
- Active Directory management and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience with VDI or similar technologies
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with AWS concepts (professional experience not required)
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field
Experience:
- 5 years supporting desktop environments or VDI
Nice to Have:
- AWS certifications or cloud experience
Salary : $40 - $46
