Job Summary
The Strategic VMO Manager, will oversee managed services and material commodities, identify opportunities for strategic sourcing, and develops/maintains relationship management strategies for IT vendors and commodities. S/he will manage Information Technology's strategic vendor management program, including developing the strategies to leverage and expand partnerships with IT's key vendors.
Job Responsibilities

- Vendor Management Responsibilities: (1) Oversee and coordinate IT's contract management, vendor performance management, contractor/managed service providers and external sourcing programs (2) Manage, develop and lead VMO team, responsible for contract management and vendor performance management
- External Stakeholders: (1) Operate a program to build vendor relationships to provide quality materials and services at the lowest total cost that meet or exceed business requirements, while maintaining the smallest possible vendor base needed (2) Provide support and manage high profile vendor relationships on projects in coordination with IT SLT
- Internal Stakeholders: (1) Builds long-term, strategic relationships with IT leaders, maintaining a strong understanding of the industry and associated business strategies and ensures supply of vendors with products and services aligned to these strategies, (2) Monitor relationships with key stakeholders and identify pain points in the process and prioritize opportunities for improvement
- Financial/contract/metrics: (1) Negotiates at senior level on technical and commercial issues, (2) Increase efficiency and reduce supplier spend and risk
- Other Strategic Responsibilities: (1) Prioritize and execute continuous improvement projects with key stakeholders including EPMO, IT, and Procurement (2) Understanding position in the market, company risk level, product offerings, diversity, and other items
Job Specific Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Business, Math, IT/CS with 8 years of work experience in Information Technology's strategic vendor management program. In lieu of a degree, 10 years work experience will be considered
- Proficient with Microsoft 0365, SAP, Ariba
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree e.g., master’s degree in business or accounting
- ITIL Foundations Certification preferred
Salary : $129,000 - $211,900
