What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Technician position at Randstad Enterprise?

This is a fully onsite position. Candidates local to the St. Louis area are preferred as relocation cost reimbursement is not available for this position.
Shift Hours:
1st shift: 6:30AM - 3:00PM
2nd shift: 9:00AM - 5:30PM
Responsibilities
In this position, you will work with seed samples and will performs tasks such as dropping, crushing, planting, harvesting, counting, grinding, and reagent preparation Under the guidance of a full time employee, you will conduct routine and preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment and assist in the operation of equipment for the purpose of data generation. You will be responsible for receiving and inspection of raw materials, ordering and stocking.
What you will need:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline.
- Experience in fast-paced and/or team-oriented environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and general lab procedures.
- The ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
- The ability to stand while working for prolonged periods of time (4-6 hours)
- The ability to conduct repetitive tasks with hands, wrists, and arms
