Responsibilities:
• Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, timelines, budgets, and risk assessment. Manage all project phases from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to established methodologies and best practices.
• Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of telecommunications technologies, including but not limited to: fiber optics, wireless networks (4G/5G), IP networking, VoIP, and network infrastructure. Be able to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with third-party vendors and contractors, ensuring deliverables are met according to contractual agreements. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance.
• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure project success. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Communication and Reporting: Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports, risk assessments, and budget forecasts. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior management.
• Problem Solving and Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks. Develop and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring projects stay within allocated funding.
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure deliverables meet the highest standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, and status reports.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in telecom project management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex telecom projects.
• Strong understanding of telecom technologies and industry trends.
• Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• PMP or Prince2 certification is a plus.
• Experience with project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
