Lab Technician – First Shift / Part Time
Duration : 6 month contract, potential for extension
Location : Onsite in Andover, MA
Shift :
First shift, Monday-Friday, 4 hours per day 20 hours a week
This role does not have a set work schedule, the person selected for hire can work any schedule as long as he / she does not go over 20 hours per week unless approved, hiring manager is flexible since the person hired can be in college / university

Chemicals present in this role : water, alcohols, acetone, acetonitrile, maybe some acids - PPE will be provided
Job Description
Work within a cross-functional team of engineers and scientists to deliver on agreed milestones for new product development, early phase evaluations and legacy products.
Job Responsibilities :
Work with minimal supervision from Scientists and Manager.
Ensure reports are signed and sent out in a timely fashion.
Check that lab SDS’s and chemicals are recorded and tracked internally.
Track SVHCs and order standards of identified SVHCs to confirm identification by submitting standards to lab for testing.
Comply with the laboratory management practices set-up by the laboratory manager including global health, safety and environmental practices.
Work within the framework of international standards (e.g. ISO 10993 and ISO 17025) and ensure compliance.
Assist laboratory team to create and update work instructions for safe and effective use of equipment in the laboratory.
Operate FTIR and SEM, gain hands-on experience on other techniques such as HPLC when time allows.
Perform administrative functions as necessary (reporting, routing for DocuSign, filing of reports).
Making presentations to group.

Competencies :
Must have good team and communication skills.
Must have good time management skills and be able to perform well under pressure.
Should be able to work under minimal supervision once trained.
