Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments to develop or optimize cell culture media and growth supplements for various human primary cells and cell lines. Prior experience with various human primary cells is required.
- Maintain precise records and organize records of experiments. Analyze and report on data that are generated.
- Utilize perfect aseptic technique and display expertise with handling primary cells and cell line.
- Design and execute analytical and cell culture-based functionality testing including cell growth assay for a variety of cell culture media.
- Troubleshoot experiment results for cells and media, raw materials, media formulation, product storage, and QC assays.
- Maintain stocks of chemicals, reagents and supplies in the laboratory.
- Master's degree in biology, Chemistry or related discipline. B.S. degree with 5 - 10 years of relevant industrial experience.
- Significant knowledge of aseptic cell culture techniques, basic biology, chemistry, mathematical calculations, statistical analysis, technical writing, and laboratory equipment required.
- Computer literate including, but not limited to, MS Office.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are needed to be able to share data and conclusions with scientific peers and others around the company.
