Randstad Professional Technical & Engineering Division, specialized in the search and selection
of Middle and Senior Management, for a leading international company operating in the
Automotive Manufacturing sector, is looking for a:
PRODUCTION MANAGER
RESPONSABILITIES:
Operations Management
● Oversee all plant operations: Lead and manage day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth execution across production processes
● Implement operational strategies: Develop and execute strategies to enhance operational efficiency, optimize resource allocation, reduce costs, and improve production timelines.
● Ensure product quality: Work closely with the quality control team to ensure all products meet quality standards and customer specifications, particularly in surface treatment processes like electrocoating and painting.
Production Planning
● Production scheduling: Coordinate and manage the production schedule to ensure timely delivery of products, aligning production capacity with customer demand.
● Continuous improvement: Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other optimization methodologies to streamline production processes.
Logistics and Warehouse Management
● Logistics oversight: Manage and optimize inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and products to customers and suppliers.
● Warehouse management: Supervise inventory control, ensuring that stock levels of raw materials and finished goods are accurately monitored and maintained, while minimizing inventory costs.
● Supply chain management: Ensure efficient supply chain management, coordinating with suppliers and transportation services to optimize the flow of materials and products.
Procurement and Purchasing
● Procurement oversight: Manage and lead the procurement department, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials, parts, and equipment needed for production.
● Vendor relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure high-quality and cost-effective sourcing.
● Inventory management: Ensure effective inventory control and minimize excess stock while ensuring material availability for production.
Financial and Administrative Oversight
● Budget management: Oversee the plant’s financial performance, including the
preparation and management of the annual budget, ensuring cost control and profitability.
● Financial reporting: Regularly report on financial metrics, including operational costs, revenue, and profitability, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
● Cost optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality or operational efficiency.
● Administrative leadership: Oversee administrative functions, including HR management, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and maintaining necessary certifications.
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS:
● Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or similar discipline
● At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with significant experience in managing complex processes
● Strong knowledge of production processes: In-depth understanding of manufacturing operations, particularly in surface treatments and metalworking.
● Strong financial and budget management skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial reports to make informed decisions.
● Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to optimize operations.
●Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and senior leadership.
● Strong analytical skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure while balancing quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
Location: Southeastern Georgia
