Job Overview
The Performance Coach is either assigned to a specific work area/department and will support the department with performance concerns and work closely with individual alent. This role differs from Site Coordinators as they will be on the floor supporting the line leads/supervisors relating to performance and productivity vs the SC whose role redominately focuses on: recruiting, interviewing, screening (background/DTs), human resources/employee relations issues, compliance, payroll, unemployment hearings, perations and compliance.
Duties
- On-Site Support: Acts as on-site support for Metro supervisors by improving workforce performance
- through targeted coaching and reinforcement of desirable behaviors.
- Pre-Shift Meetings: Attends pre-shift meetings to update Randstad talent on any changes in the
- workplace environment, PPE, safety protocols, or Metro expectations.
- Skill Set Insights: Provides the site management team with detailed insights into the specific skill sets needed and the real-world challenges faced by employees, enabling better decision-making.
- Behavioral Coaching: Work with line leads and supervisor to reinforce safe work behaviors, correct undesirable behaviors, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Safety Monitoring: Regularly observes talent in the work area to ensure they are working safely and according to guidelines. This includes monitoring for safety hazards and reporting any potential risks to the supervisor.
Expectations:
- Visible Presence: Coaches will stand out by wearing role-specific vests or shirts to be easily identifiable.
- Workforce Engagement: Coaches are expected to engage directly with the workforce, focusing on talent development.
- Hands-On Approach: coaches should learn talent performance by observation and direct interaction, providing real-time coaching for improvement.
- Leadership Team Participation: Coaches are considered part of the leadership team, starting earlier than the regular shift to attend planning meetings and contributing to strategic discussions.
- Shift Cadence Meetings: Coaches are required to attend all shift cadence meetings to stay informed and aligned with daily operational goals.
- Regular Communication: Coaches must maintain regular communication with the leadership team regarding talent performance, challenges, and successes, ensuring continuous feedback loops. We will have a tracker to manage as well.
- Prioritization of Functions: Coaches should prioritize their daily functions. They will check in with Metro to see if there are talents they should prioritize first. Transparency will be through our tracker that is accessible to Supervisors and managers.
- Recognition and Engagement: Coaches are responsible for recognizing talent achievements and ensuring high levels of engagement within the workforce.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.50 - $21.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
