Responsibilities
As a CDL B Driver under the general supervision of the Logistics Specialist, you will deliver and unload completed trucks, chassis, and parts to dealerships as well as other company locations. You will also be responsible for minor truck and trailer maintenance. Deliveries are made within the North East Region of the US. You will be able to accomplish this by :
- Effectively using maps and directions to ensure most economical use of time and equipment
- Accurately maintaining daily driver log book
- Performing pre-check and post check inspections of vehicles as minor maintenance
- Having good communication skills(written and verbal) and the ability to follow instructions
- Maintaining a clean driving record with a high level of safety awareness on the roadways
- Properly assessing site locations in advance of truck delivery / pickup to ensure adequate access for safe operations
- Performing all responsibilities and duties during inclement weather within safe operating standards
- Performing other duties as assigned
Skills
CDL B (3 years of experience is required)
Driving (3 years of experience is preferred)
Yard Work / Warehouse Work (2 years of experience is preferred)
Air Brake Certification
Log Books (1 year of experience is preferred)
