Job Summary :
This position is to be a senior electronics technician for PCB test. This position involves troubleshooting system and PCBA issues to the component level. Diagnostic tools such as LabVIEW, and JTAG tests are used for testing and troubleshooting. High speed oscilloscopes, DMM’s, power supplies and custom test fixtures are also used during the test process.
Should have worked in an engineering or senior level technician environment. Expected to be able to understand circuit analysis and solve component level problems with minimal support.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
- Spends 50-75% of time adding value directly to product by testing / troubleshooting to the component level.
- Performs setup, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of complex electronic circuits, components and electro-mechanical assemblies using company approved test procedures.
- Works with Test Engineering to create, document and verify test fixtures and procedures.
- Update / create test procedures and formalize them for ECO approval.
- Investigate repetitive circuit problems to root cause and recommend corrective action.
- Analyze failures returned from the production floor and customer service to determine root cause – keep the inventory in PCB test to the minimal level.
- Determine if additional PCBA testing is required, based on the failures seen.
- Daily production floor technical support when required on system or PCB issues.
- Perform other duties as required.
