Leading manufacturer is seeking an experienced Machine Shop Manager to oversee their machining operations, optimize production, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
Shop Operations : Plan, schedule, and oversee daily machining processes to meet production goals.
Quality Assurance : Ensure all machined components meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Team Leadership : Supervise machinists, CNC operators, and technicians, providing training and performance feedback.
Equipment Maintenance : Oversee the upkeep, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of machinery.
Process Improvement : Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other efficiency-driven methodologies.
Safety & Compliance : Enforce OSHA and company safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
Budget & Cost Control : Manage shop expenses, optimize material usage, and reduce waste.
Qualifications & Skills :
Experience : 5 years in machine shop management within a steel or metal manufacturing environment.
Education : Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in CNC machining, CAD / CAM software, and manufacturing best practices.
Leadership : Strong team management, training, and conflict resolution abilities.
Problem-Solving : Ability to analyze production issues and implement effective solutions.
