Location : Frankfort, KY The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for managing the repair and upkeep of machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimize production disruptions. Their primary focus is to prevent equipment failures that could interrupt operations by proactively scheduling and coordinating maintenance with the production team.
This role involves organizing necessary resources, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently, and maintaining accurate maintenance records. The Maintenance Specialist must also ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
A strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is essential, along with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively. Success in this role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
salary : $72,800 - $75,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Oversees the maintenance and upkeep of machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
- Works closely with the Production Department to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs with minimal disruption to production plans.
- Collaborates with team members and supervisors to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
- Ensures all maintenance and repair tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manages maintenance records, resources, and related data to ensure efficient operations.
- Coordinates with vendors to schedule and oversee maintenance work, ensuring all tasks are completed to standard.
- Works with the Engineering Department to assess, procure, install, and validate new machinery and equipment.
- Partners with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to enhance quality control and productivity through equipment modifications, layout adjustments, and custom work aids.
- Implements and enforces safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Ensures adherence to environmental and industry regulations.
- Monitors maintenance performance and reports key issues and metrics to management.
