Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Engineer to join our team. In this critical role, you will oversee the preparation of production packages, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and bring innovative ideas to improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of design calculations and engineering detail drawings (e.g., design and production) either manual or utilizing AutoCAD/SolidWorks
- Accurate entry of new part numbers and shop operations
- Preparation and/or revision of general assembly and production drawings, bills of material and technical manuals
- Costing and preliminary design layouts for field sales
- Maintaining drawing libraries
- Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value
- Attend meetings and update others on issues or concerns
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Solidworks
- Robust mechanical aptitude, good drafting ability, knowledge of GD&T, and manufacturing process
