What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Designer position at Randstad?
We are searching for a Mechanical Designer in Largo, FL, to work at an industry-leading manufacturing company. Experience with Sheet Metal Design is required. This is a long term contract position that could lead to a direct hire role.
Responsibilities :
Use SolidWorks to create or modify models, drawings and DXF's of HVAC units, components, parts and assemblies.
Develop innovative designs and solutions based on project specifications.
Take ownership of the design and part selection of multiple products and become the subject matter expert in them.
Execute the product development phase gate process to release new products and features.
Execute design improvements to optimize manufacturability and increase product quality.
Design and modify sheet metal and insulation parts and assemblies.
Design and modify hydronic components including heat exchangers (aluminum fin, copper tube, steel casing) and piping packages (valves, y-strainers, flow control devices)
