We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee and manage a large manufacturing company's payroll functions. The ideal candidate will ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll, stay up-to-date with payroll laws and tax regulations, and lead a collaborative payroll team to maintain compliance and streamline processes.
salary : $36 - $39 per hour
shift : First
work hours : 8 AM - 5 PM
education : High School
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processes, including processing, garnishments, bonuses, unemployment, tax compliance across states, and reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely calculation and distribution of employee compensation.
- Stay updated on federal and state payroll laws, tax withholding, and wage regulations.
- Act as an escalation point for payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with HRIS on system enhancements.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance.
- Conduct audits and analysis to identify trends and improvements.
- Establish internal controls to prevent fraud and errors.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports, and present payroll metrics for decision-making.
- Lead the payroll team, set goals, and evaluate performance.
- Coordinate with payroll service providers and external consultants. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
