Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to secure materials and supplies in a timely, cost-effective manner.
- Collaborate with production and planning teams to forecast material requirements and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Identify, evaluate, and establish supplier relationships, negotiating favorable contracts and terms.
- Monitor supplier performance to address any issues related to quality, cost, or delivery.
- Oversee inventory management to avoid shortages or overstocking, utilizing ERP systems to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards, including FDA, ISO 13485, and GMP requirements for medical devices.
- Analyze market trends to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and supplier performance.
