Are you a Professional Engineer (PE) with extensive roadway engineering experience and a passion for building strong client relationships? We’re looking for a Senior Roadway Project Manager to join our team and lead Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) projects from start to finish. This role includes managing client relationships, mentoring team members, and ensuring successful project delivery.
What You’ll Do:
In this role, you’ll take charge of roadway design projects while providing leadership to a team of engineers, technicians, and interns. Key responsibilities include:
✅ Managing client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction
✅ Overseeing project management for ALDOT and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) projects
✅ Mentoring team members and ensuring quality control on all deliverables
✅ Leading roadway design using MicroStation and OpenRoads platforms
✅ Traveling to project sites and representing the firm at client meetings and community events
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a team-oriented leader with a strong background in roadway engineering and ALDOT guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience:
✔ Professional Engineer (PE) license in Alabama
✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
✔ 10 years of roadway engineering experience
✔ Expertise in ALDOT guidelines, MUTCD, and FHWA publications
✔ Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads design software
✔ Experience with project management – from design to construction
✔ Strong communication skills and attention to detail
