We are seeking multiple Truck Assemblers in the Hauppauge area. Someone who is capable of doing wiring, soldering, reading and interpreting and following basic blue prints, diagrams and drawings. Responsibilities
As a Truck Assembler & Mechanic , you will be responsible for performing the assembly of cargo vans. The assembly must be completed according to the goals set by the Production Manager. You will do this by :
- Assembling basic equipment and products under close supervision and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Reading, interpreting and following basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
- Meeting production schedule deadlines as designated by the Production Manager.
- Performing quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Identifying product defects and documenting them.
- Performing all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
- Conferring with supervisor regarding quality or procedure problems.
- Reworking and / or repairing assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
- Performing all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
